…the equipment, the people, Number 01 Singles and not to be dismissed, the wonderful location.
The studio takes in the sound of the wild Atlantic ways, lying on the shores of the ocean – a picturesque environment to say the least. Recording your album and/or singles in this tranquil, yet professional setting, is key to the success story of Ocean Studios Ireland and its team, who will work with you on getting the best from and out of your beloved songs, which you put so much time and thought into writing. Wayne P. Sheehy promises to put just as much time and thought into producing your record, for Wayne does it for his own passion for music and would not allow to let you, as well as himself down in the quest of recording your perfect material.
You’ll undoubtedly be in safe hands, meticulously creating your sound, in a stunning setting, with minds alike. Music makes this place what it is. A recording session is never rushed with a half-hearted approach, in the contrary, if your songs mean something to you – they will mean something to Wayne P. Sheehy also!
Let this Testimonial speak for itself:
Who is Wayne P. Sheehy – the brain behind Ocean Studios Ireland?
Wayne’s story is littered with some of the most pivotal shapers, movers and shakers of music as we know it today. His origins however would not give a strong indication of the direction his life would take. Wayne grew up in a draughty old hotel situated on the shores of the North Atlantic Ocean in West Cork Ireland in a time when he had to travel 20k to buy a music magazine and 100k to buy an album of any relevance and inspiration. Music was traditional singing or “country and Irish” and the local dance hall was moving but only slowly with the times.Wayne once hitchhiked to Birmingham in England (catching a ferry)with a pal to watch Roxy Music such was the rarity of touring acts in the southwest.
However his passion for music ignited his school pals and before too long a residency was started with a ramshackle bunch of Irish men both on and off the stage. His passion for making music and playing his drums was finally airborne! What followed in the next few years was the typical story of good habits and bad habits, premature highs, surprise laden lows and then the moment of epiphany in the form of an insightful Father, a young son and a clever choice of an acoustic guitar ,folk songs or the road to nowhere..He chose the guitar and folk music and although he later returned to his first instrument (the drums) this single moment kicked started a successful career that has never stopped.
He has toured and recorded and occasionally still plays with Rolling Stone Ron Wood, consequently throughout his touring career with Ronnie he has accompanied many “legends ” of rock and roll” including Van Morrison,Rod Stewart,Ronnie lane, Aretha Franklin, Bobby Womack, to name a few.He has also recorded with amongst others Bo Diddley,Bono, Greg Cohen(Tom Waits), The Chieftans, The Edge, Peter Gabriel,Hothouse Flowers,Carl Carlton, toured and performed with Robert Palmer,Eric Burdon, Moya Brennan (Clannad),Michelle Shocked, the list goes on and so does Wayne.
Although Wayne has always loved being a player, as time progressed he found himself intervening in the sessions more and more and came to realise his destiny was to be a producer. To this day he remains in this role.He runs a busy Studio in the quaint village of Kilcrohane where his story began. His clients travel from as far as Sydney, Philadelphia, LA , and Central Europe to work with him.His philosophy is to make it affordable, professional, comfortable and inspirational. The location is one of the most beautiful in the world and the studio is well equipped and accommodation is included if required. He has his own small independent label Oceanwest records . Finally a quote from Wayne .
I know exactly what my clients want when they arrive, because i’ve spent most of my life being a client and sometimes i still am.

KEYWEST reach Number 01 with ‘All My Mistakes’, passing by Ed Sheeran and James Bay, leaving the two to fill the Number 02 and Number 03 slot on the iTunes Charts.
The All My Mistake EP was released on April 09th, 2015 and has in its short week on the market taken the musical charts by storm, satisfying and exceeding their fans’ expectations and keeping the critics schtum – to the relief and appreciation of Andy, Glover, Harry, Sam and James!
The five piece Dublin Indie Rock/Pop Group have been regulars on Grafton Street – Dublin’s most popular shopping street – and have long become the sound of the city, giving the public a chance to dance and shop, rather than to shop until you drop.
Now with their busy summer festival schedule imminently approaching, you will get a lot more opportunities to see the band perform LIVE all over Ireland and also abroad.. We shall keep you in the loop on their movements!
Rob Higgins’ Brain Child: ‘Phoebe St.’ (‘Make Love’ mini-doc)
Rob Higgins could be described as a bit of a musically creative whirlwind, lending his talent as a skilled bassist to numerous bands, touring with Juliette Lewis and My Chemical Romance (to name a few) and then he went about to “accidentally” form his very own Alternative/Rock project, the effervescent Dearly Beloved.
Touring extensively with various bands, producing records, recording in the desert, regenerating a bit of himself by himself and letting his mind wander towards new musical outlets and creations, all has guided him towards his own studio in Toronto’s Phoebe Street and a lovely, introspective documentary: ‘Phoebe Street’ (‘Make Love’ Mini Doc) -which focuses on local independent artists “who make a living doing what they love.”
Sarah Murphy wrote up this great article explaining all – do take a look:
The talented Singer/Songwriter, who adds depth and credibility to his songs – creating Hit Singles time and time again, may likely be the busiest artist Ireland has to offer, touring the emerald Island continuously year in / year out.
Paddy Casey is one of Ireland’s most loved Musicians not only because of his ability to pen “relatable” songs, but also because he’s approachable and gladly stops for a chat with a fan, as well as that he is known for his big heart, donating his time and talent to numerous charity events throughout the years..
2015 has seen Paddy touring Ireland extensively and he is not about to stop – so catch him live on any of the dates below.
Tickets can be attained for each show at all good outlets and to keep updated on new dates added to his schedule, please do check in on his website here: http://www.paddycasey.ie/tour

Summer is the season of festivals, with so much competition out there organisers need to begin looking for acts that are off the beaten track to make their event stand out. We’ve compiled a list of our top five favourite unique and alternative festival entertainment ideas.
1. With ‘Get Lucky’ the song of the summer and Random Access Memories rocketing to the top of the charts around the world, the band of the moment are themselves not touring but Daft Punk Tribute are every bit as good as the real thing. With custom built helmets and costumes, an LED light show, plus the talent of French duo crowds throughout Europe are going wild for Daft Punk Tribute.
2. Silent Discos are always a hit at any festival; headphones with two channels and two DJs battling it out. Crowds then have the option of listening to the channel of their choice; a song not to your taste? No problem you can just switch over.

3. Who doesn’t love Star Wars? Star Troopers are based on the iconic Storm Troopers, foot soldiers of the Galactic Empire. Wherever these guys go a crowd follows, if you want them to walk around the site posing for photos that’s fine or if you want something really different why not have a Star Trooper DJ set?
4. Ireland is known for its vibrant music scene, and there is a plethora of new talent out there who are hotly tipped to be the next big things. We have a wide selection of new talent to suit all musical tastes from electro pop to acoustic and everything in between. Who knows, you may be able to say you booked the next U2. This is not only perfect for festivals but also for unique wedding entertainment, looking great along one of the many brilliant wedding bands Ireland.

If you’re looking for something to get your audience on their feet, dancing and smiling then Torann are the perfect act for your festival.
