THE 4 OF US hail from Newry, Co. Down. This multi-award-winning band have seven fine albums under their belt and a back catalogue of memorable songs that have featured on American, British and Irish TV and film soundtracks. To this day, their smash hit Mary, remains one of the most played tracks on Irish radio and is currently featured on SingStar, one of Sony PlayStation”s most popular games. Founding members and brothers, Brendan and Declan Murphy have been captivating audiences on their recent tours of Germany and Ireland with their superb acoustic performances.
Unable to tour during lockdown, thousands have enjoyed logging on to FB Live to see them perform tunes from 2016’s career highlight SUGAR ISLAND right back to their 1989 debut SONGS FOR THE TEMPTED, which first put them on the pop map with MARY, as well as their latest lockdown inspired radio hit WAITING GAME.
The regular rehearsing required for each live-streamed show has helped keep the brothers match fit, as Brendan explains:
